What is ExchangeRate-API?
ExchangeRate-API is a service that publishes daily exchange rates for the world's currencies.
What you gain when you connect it
- Rates every day. The rate of your main currency against each active currency is brought in on the interval you choose — every 24 hours unless you change it.
- Your rate wins. A rate already entered for that day is never overwritten, so a rate your accountant typed stays.
- Every fetch written down. Each fetch is logged, with any currency the source did not give named.
- No account needed. The source needs no account or key of yours.

How to switch it on
- Open Setup › Exchange ratesAn administrator who may change settings opens it.
- Choose ExchangeRate-APIChoose it as the source and how often to read it; «Test» shows what it gives before you save.
- Leave it to runFrom then on, the day's rates arrive by themselves.
