The GST InvoiceNow requirement

The Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) phases in the GST InvoiceNow requirement:

1 November 2025: companies that register for GST voluntarily within six months of incorporation.
1 April 2026: all new voluntary registrants.
1 April 2028: new compulsory registrants, and existing GST-registered businesses with supplies of S$200,000 or less.
1 April 2029, 1 April 2030 and 1 April 2031: the larger existing businesses, in three steps.

IMDA, the Infocomm Media Development Authority, is Singapore's Peppol authority.

The Singapore Peppol ID

A Singapore business is found on Peppol by its UEN (scheme 0195). Zyntra OS checks its shape before saving.

Sends invoices and credit notes

An invoice or a credit note goes out by Peppol when it is issued, written as Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 and checked against the published Peppol rules in our tests.

Receives suppliers' bills

A bill a supplier sends you by Peppol arrives as a draft, entered exactly as the supplier wrote it. Nothing is in the books until a person accepts it; a credit note received is entered as a debit note.

Checks a customer's Peppol ID

Type the customer's Peppol ID and press Check: Zyntra OS says whether that customer can receive Peppol invoices. A slip in the digits is refused by the ID's own rule.

Shows the status on the invoice

The invoice's own page says Queued, Sent, Delivered or Refused. A refusal shows the reason the access point gave, and Send again is one button.

Is InvoiceNow the same as Peppol?

InvoiceNow is Singapore's nationwide e-invoicing network, and it is based on the Peppol standard. A Peppol invoice from Zyntra OS travels on it.

When does my business have to join?

It depends on how and when you registered for GST and on your supplies; IRAS lists each phase, from 1 November 2025 to 1 April 2031.

Which Peppol ID does a Singapore customer have?

Its UEN (0195). Type it on the customer's page and press Check on Peppol to see whether it can receive.
