Treatment plans

A dental treatment plan in phases: each step a procedure on a tooth with its price, the insurer's part and the patient's part. The patient accepts it at the desk or through the product's own estimate; each step is then done in a visit.

Make the plan

On the Dental card make a plan and give it a name, for example «Implant 36». It gets its number, TP-00001 and on.

Add each step: its phase (1, 2, 3 …), the procedure from the clinic's list, or a service from Appointments with its price, or what will be done typed by hand; the tooth and its surfaces; and the price.

Each step shows the insurer's part and the patient's part, split by the coverage of the patient's insurance plan. The plan adds up the total, the insurer's part, the patient's part, what is done and what is still open.
The price is typed only by a person with the billing right. A step already brought into a visit is removed from the visit before it can be cancelled.

The patient accepts it

At the desk: the patient signs on paper and you record it. The plan keeps who accepted it, who recorded it and when.

Make the estimate: the plan becomes one of the product's estimates, with each step as its line (for example «Filling — tooth 36 (MO)») and the plan's number as its reference. It is printed, sent and accepted the way every estimate is (see Make and send an estimate). When the patient accepts the estimate, the plan reads accepted, with their name.
A plan is accepted once it has its steps, and it has one estimate only.

Do the steps

In the visit press Add a planned step and choose a step of an accepted plan. The procedure line comes with its tooth, surfaces and price.

When the visit is closed and signed, the step is done and the chart is written. When every step is done, the plan is done.

The visit is invoiced, or claimed from the insurer, the usual way (see Visits).
Only the steps of an accepted plan are brought into a visit. A plan with a step in an open visit cannot be cancelled until that step is removed from the visit.
