Sales: from lead to paid

Proposals

A proposal is an offer with its own words around the price: the priced lines, like an estimate, and a Body that explains them.

Where

Sales & CRM › Customers & Estimates › Proposals · a deal’s or a lead’s Proposals tab

Who

Anyone allowed to create proposals.
1
Press + New proposal. Choose a starting template, or Blank proposal. A template brings its written body, lines, terms, client note, currency and how long it stays open; it never brings the customer, the deal, the dates or the number.
2
Type the Subject and choose the Customer (both must be filled; the proposal is in the customer's currency). Set Open till: a proposal with no closing date cannot be sent. You can link a Deal, choose who it is To and who it is Assigned to.
3
Under Content, write the Body. Under Line items, add the lines from your catalogue; a line marked optional can be ticked on or off by the customer. Add the Client note and the terms, then press Create proposal.
4
On the proposal, press Send to customer, tick the contacts and press Send it. Only contacts allowed to see proposals on the portal are listed. The customer reads it, asks questions under Conversation, and accepts or declines.
5
When it is accepted, press Turn into an invoice or Turn into an estimate at the foot of the Document tab. The lines, terms, currency, discount and billing address carry across.

The list

Under the screen's name one line counts the proposals and their pipeline value. A card for each status (Draft, Sent, Revised, Accepted, Declined, Expired) shows how many there are; press one to see only those. ▦ Pipeline shows them as columns, ☰ Table as rows. The Engagement column says whether the customer has viewed the proposal and how often. ⚙ Columns, Export and ▾ Filters work as on every list; Show archived brings back archived ones.

The proposal’s page

The head shows the number, the customer, the contact and the status, then Send to customer, Signing ▾ (🖊 Request signature, Send via DocuSign when it is connected, and Clear the acceptance on an accepted proposal) and More ▾ (Edit, View PDF, Download).

A payment milestone is a schedule agreed with the customer. It raises no invoice by itself.

What Flowrica does here

On the list she can make the proposal with you, one question at a time (Create a proposal); nothing is saved until you press the form's own button. In the form, once you have chosen who the proposal is for, its Body can be written with Flowrica.
