Manufacturing

Manufacturing home

Manufacturing is a module of Zyntra for companies that make what they sell. It runs beside any edition, or on Zyntra OS alone. It starts with the bill of materials: what each product is made of, level by level, and the units each part is measured in. It uses Zyntra's own items, warehouses and stock costs.

Who

Manufacturing Bills of materials — View or Manufacturing Units of measure — View opens it. Each part shows only what the person's rights allow.

Switch it on

The super administrator opens Setup › Modules and switches Manufacturing on. It needs Items and Inventory.

While it is on, the menu shows Manufacturing. The product keeps its name: Zyntra OS, or the edition the company runs, such as Zyntra Legal or Zyntra E-commerce.

Give the people their rights in Setup › Roles. Only the top role holds them at first: View, Create, Edit, Activate, Archive and See costs for bills of materials; View and Edit for units of measure.

The page

The tiles count the Active bills, the Drafts, the Archived ones and the Unit conversions; each opens its list. Made here, with no active bill lists the items marked «can be manufactured» that have no active bill yet; Make its bill starts one. Changed lately shows the bills changed last.

The Manufacturing home
Switching Manufacturing off hides its menu and closes its pages. Nothing is deleted: switched on again, every bill is there.

Every part of Manufacturing

The menu holds the parts in five groups, Overview first. Each group opens a line of its own tabs; each part has its section in this guide:

Engineering: Bills of materials · Routings · Work centres · Engineering changes · Units of measure.

Planning: Material planning (with the master schedule, forecasts and reorder rules) · Production schedule · Kanban board.

Production: Production orders · Shop floor and its tablet · OEE · Machine data · Subcontracting.

Quality: Quality inspections, inspection plans, non-conformance and control charts · Traceability · Expiry · Formulas and lot potency.

Cost and reports: Production cost · Manufacturing quotes · Production reports.

To whoever may read production reports, the overview opens with the factory's figures: open and late orders, OEE, scrap, lots held by quality and planning suggestions waiting; See all opens Production reports.
