Machine data

A machine can send its own counts, its run or stop state and its energy. Nobody types them: its counts become counts on the operation running on it, its stops become breakdowns on the asset, and its energy is kept per day.

Machines lists every registered machine: its serial number, Running or Stopped, when it was last heard from, its good units and kWh today, and how a stop it sends is reported.

Energy per day shows, for the days you choose, each machine's kWh, its good units and the kWh a good unit took, with the total.

Readings on a machine lists what it sent and what became of each reading: counted on the running operation, kept because nothing was running, a stop opened or closed.

Register a machine

Press Register a machine. Choose the asset (the machine must be an asset of the company, from Fixed equipment), type its Serial number as the machine sends it, and how a stop it sends is reported.

Press Register. The machine's secret is shown only this once, with the address it sends to and the two headers it sends. Set them on the machine or its gateway, then press I copied it.

Lost the secret? New secret makes another; the old one stops working at once. Archive keeps its readings and refuses what it sends.
A reading the machine sends twice is kept once. The secret is kept only as a hash, never in the clear.
Nothing is ever sent to a machine. While Manufacturing is switched off, what a machine sends is refused.
Its counts feed OEE and the shop floor; its stops show in Breakdowns; its energy shows in Production reports.
