Portal access

Who the school opens its portal to. A guardian switched on sees their children in the client portal; a student signs in to their own page while their grade lets students in.

School Portal access — View; switching on and off needs School Portal access — Edit.

The portal is the client portal the family already has: one sign-in for a guardian, whatever the number of children. Nothing is shown to a family until the school switches it on, and a guardian or student of another family never sees a child who is not theirs.

Guardians

The Guardians tab lists every guardian with their Children, Email, whether the Portal is On and how they are Signing in.

Press Switch on and invite. The guardian's school page opens, the family's invoices are opened to them, and the portal's own invitation is put in the mail queue: they choose their own password.

A guardian who already signs in is switched on with Switch on; they see their children the next time they open the portal.

Switch off closes the school page at once. The contact stays in the family's account.

Students

A student signs in with their own email as part of the family. They see their own page only: never the fees, never a brother's or a classmate's page.

On the Students tab press Open a sign-in on the student's row (it shows only when their grade lets students in).

Type the student's Sign-in email and press Open and invite. The invitation goes to the mail queue.

Grades: the age rule

On the Grades tab, tick the grades whose students may sign in. A student of a grade not ticked shows Grade closed; closing a grade closes its students' page at once.

Documents the family sees

On a student's Documents tab, tick Guardians see it and/or The student sees it beside each document. A document not ticked stays with the school.

Sharing a document with the family
The portal shows each child's timetable, attendance and the marks the school released; homework has its place and shows «Coming soon» until the school keeps it.
